「ECHO SPRING」の刻印☆
ECHO SPRING DAIRYは、オレゴン州ユージーンで「ECHO SPRING MILK」を販売していた乳業会社。
1952年の地元新聞にはすでに「ECHO SPRING MILK」の広告が掲載されており、その後も1957年、1964年、1970年と、長きにわたってユージーンの乳業会社として記録が残っています◎
そんなECHO SPRINGの名前が刻まれたこちらのクレート。
細かなワイヤーで構成された無骨なボディに、グリーンの樹脂製ベースを組み合わせた独特のデザインがとても印象的です！！
メタル部分には長い年月を経て生まれた、擦れ、くすみ、サビ、塗装の剥がれなどが見られ、ヴィンテージならではの雰囲気たっぷり☆
グリーンのベース部分も含め、全体から感じられるこのリアルな経年感は、新品では決して味わえない魅力です◎
そして何より、実在したローカル・デイリーブランドの名前が残っているというところがポイント！！
現在ではECHO SPRING DAIRYは事業を終了しており、1999年11月にWilcox Dairy Farmsに買収された後、2000年4月に事業終了したことが公的資料にも記録されています。
そう考えると、このクレートに残された「ECHO SPRING」の文字も、当時のアメリカ・オレゴンの乳業文化を感じさせてくれる、とても雰囲気のあるディテールです♪

We are excited to introduce this vintage wire dairy crate bearing the name of ECHO SPRING DAIRY, a dairy company that once operated in Eugene, Oregon, USA!!
The biggest highlight of this piece is, without a doubt, the original “ECHO SPRING” marking that remains on the frame☆
ECHO SPRING DAIRY was a dairy company based in Eugene, Oregon, known for selling “ECHO SPRING MILK.”
A local newspaper from 1952 already featured advertisements for “ECHO SPRING MILK,” and the company continued to appear in records as a Eugene dairy business throughout the years, including 1957, 1964, and 1970◎
This crate proudly carries the name of ECHO SPRING.
Its rugged body, constructed from fine metal wire, is paired with a distinctive green plastic base, creating a unique and eye-catching design!!
After decades of use, the metal surfaces have developed authentic signs of age, including scuffs, dullness, rust, and areas of worn and peeling paint. All of these details give it that unmistakable vintage character☆
The realistic aged appearance of the entire piece, including the green base, is something you simply cannot reproduce with a brand-new item◎
And above all, the fact that it still bears the name of a real local dairy brand makes this piece especially interesting!!
ECHO SPRING DAIRY is no longer in business. Public records indicate that the company was acquired by Wilcox Dairy Farms in November 1999 and ceased operations in April 2000.
Knowing this history, the “ECHO SPRING” lettering preserved on this crate becomes an especially atmospheric detail, offering a glimpse into the dairy culture of Oregon, USA, during a bygone era♪
