クラシカルなデザインが随所に詰め込まれた、存在感抜群のOLDウッドキャビネットです☆
まず目を引くのが、上部に大きく立ち上がった波打つようなスカラップデザインのバックボード！！
直線だけでは作られていない柔らかなシルエットが美しく、現代の量産家具とは全く違った佇まいがあります♪
正面上部には大きな引き出しを備え、その取っ手にはなんと木を立体的に彫り込んだ植物・果実モチーフを採用！！
葉っぱの中央から実が飛び出したような立体感のある造形で、単なる金属製の取っ手とは違った存在感があります◎
下部は左右2枚の扉になっており、明るい色味の木目を活かしたパネルに、さらに濃色の装飾パーツを配置。
扉のアーチ状の縁取りから中央のオーナメントまで、かなり手の込んだクラシカルなデザインです！！
そして、この家具でぜひ見ていただきたいのが細かな造り。
各部を確認すると、接合には古いタイプのマイナスビスや釘が多く使用されています☆
現在主流のプラスビスを多用した家具とは異なり、デザインや木工の造りも含めて、20世紀前半〜中頃を思わせるOLD家具ならではのディテールが随所に見られます。
天板や本体には長年使われてきたことを感じさせる傷・擦れ・シミ・塗装の傷みなどがたっぷり！！
特に天板には大きく色ムラや使用跡が残っていますが、個人的には綺麗に直してしまうよりもこのヤレた状態のまま使ってほしい一台です♪
何十年という時間を重ねた家具だからこそ出せる、木の色味と傷の入り方。

Early-Mid 20th Century OLD Wood Cabinet
A beautifully aged OLD wood cabinet packed with classical details and incredible character☆
The first thing that catches your eye is the large, raised backboard featuring a beautiful wave-like scalloped design!!
Its soft, flowing silhouette goes far beyond simple straight lines, giving the piece a presence completely different from modern mass-produced furniture♪
The upper front section features a large drawer, and the handle is especially impressive!!
Instead of an ordinary metal pull, it features a three-dimensional carved wood design inspired by leaves and fruit.
The sculptural detail, with fruit appearing to emerge from the center of the foliage, gives the drawer an incredible decorative presence◎
The lower section features two cabinet doors.
Lighter-toned wood grain panels are accented with darker decorative wood elements, creating a beautiful contrast.
From the arched borders around the doors to the central ornaments, the entire cabinet is filled with carefully crafted classical details!!
Another thing we really want you to notice is the construction itself.
Looking closely throughout the piece, you’ll find many old-style slotted screws and nails used in the joinery☆
Unlike modern furniture that commonly uses Phillips-head screws and contemporary hardware, the construction methods, woodworking details, and overall design give this piece the character of OLD furniture reminiscent of the early to mid-20th century.
The top and body show plenty of evidence of decades of use, including scratches, scuffs, stains, finish wear, and discoloration!!
The top in particular shows significant variations in color and visible signs of use.
Personally, rather than restoring it to look new, we think this cabinet should be enjoyed exactly as it is♪
The aged wood tones, worn finish, scratches, and marks are the kind of character that can only develop naturally over many decades.
Of course, it works beautifully as functional storage, but it would also make an incredible shop fixture for displaying merchandise, vintage lamps, collectibles, or other decorative pieces!!
