A vintage stencil plate sourced in the United States, featuring nine cut-out names. ⭐︎
Names such as “FLO MIYAHARA,” “WILSON MAKABE,” and “KAZ OSHIKI” are neatly arranged in bold capital letters on the silver-colored plate. ◎
The cut-out lettering allows the background color and changing light to influence its appearance, giving this piece a striking presence. ♪
Several of the names also appear in documents from Japanese American veterans’ organizations, suggesting a possible connection to the Japanese American community.
Its exact purpose and date of manufacture are unknown, but its potential history adds to its appeal. ◎
Its understated, rugged appearance and well-worn surface give it plenty of character.
Recommended for garage, shop, or industrial-style displays. ♪
Signs of age include scratches, scuffs, dirt, dulling, and patches of spotted discoloration. There are also marks around the lettering that appear to be from polishing.
Recommended for those who appreciate the character and patina of vintage items.
No dedicated wall-mounting hardware is present. Please arrange a suitable method of securing the plate when displaying it.
