Vintage Blue Electric Lantern

Vintage Blue Electric Lantern
RUGGED, HEAVY, and FULL OF VINTAGE CHARACTER!!
An incredible old-fashioned LANTERN that has been beautifully REPURPOSED into an ELECTRIC LIGHT!!☆☆
This is one seriously COOL piece!!
The first thing that catches your eye is the amazing WEATHERED BLUE METAL BODY!!
What was once a bright blue painted finish has developed an incredible patina over many years of use!!
The paint has worn away in places, revealing scratches, scuffs, RUST, and exposed metal underneath.
And that naturally aged appearance is exactly what makes it so GOOD!!
It’s the kind of authentic VINTAGE CHARACTER that simply cannot be recreated with a brand-new light fixture♪
The overall design has a wonderful CLASSIC MARITIME appearance, reminiscent of old lanterns once used aboard SHIPS and in other industrial environments!!
The rounded upper section, substantial base, and protective METAL GUARD surrounding the glass create an unmistakably rugged silhouette◎
But one of the MOST IMPRESSIVE features is definitely the GLASS!!
Unlike the relatively thin glass found on many ordinary lanterns, this piece features an incredibly THICK and HEAVY GLASS LENS!!
You can really feel the substantial construction of this piece!!
The glass features multiple HORIZONTAL RIBS running around its surface, giving it a beautiful industrial texture and a powerful, functional appearance☆
And when the LIGHT is switched on…
It looks absolutely AMAZING!!
This vintage lantern has been CONVERTED into a PLUG-IN ELECTRIC LIGHT, allowing you to enjoy its original classic appearance as a practical piece of interior lighting♪
The light spreads through the THICK RIBBED GLASS, creating beautiful patterns of light and shadow!!
The combination of the illuminated glass, protective metal cage, and heavily weathered BLUE BODY is simply PERFECT!!
It has the atmosphere of an OLD SHIP’S CABIN, a vintage HARBOR WAREHOUSE, or an industrial building somewhere along the AMERICAN WATERFRONT◎
And another great feature…
You can display it in TWO DIFFERENT WAYS!!
Place it on a SHELF, TABLE, or COUNTER as a unique piece of accent lighting!!
Or use the HANDLE at the top to create a HANGING DISPLAY☆
Suspended from a suitable ceiling hook or beam, it has the presence of an INDUSTRIAL PENDANT LIGHT!!
The rugged metal construction and beautiful glass make it an incredible decorative piece whether illuminated or switched off♪
Perfect for a GARAGE, WORKSHOP, HOME BAR, LIVING ROOM, CAFE, RESTAURANT, or VINTAGE SHOP!!
It would also look amazing alongside other INDUSTRIAL ANTIQUES, OLD TOOLS, and vintage American advertising signs◎
THICK, HEAVY RIBBED GLASS!!
BEAUTIFULLY WEATHERED BLUE METAL!!
AUTHENTIC VINTAGE CHARACTER!!
And a practical PLUG-IN ELECTRIC CONVERSION!!
A seriously impressive vintage lantern that combines OLD-WORLD INDUSTRIAL DESIGN with modern lighting convenience!!☆☆
