Bright yellow lettering and a spread-wing eagle logo stand out against the red body of this EAGLE safety can.
Sourced in the United States, this can was made by Eagle Manufacturing Company of Wellsburg, West Virginia. The front displays the “Justrite Safety Group” name, the model marking “UI50FS TYPE I,” the capacity “5 U.S. Gallon / 19 Liters,” and “MADE IN U.S.A.”
The rounded cylindrical body features a red carrying handle and a yellow lever that opens the lid. Bold “SAFETY CAN” and “DANGER” lettering wraps around the sides, while the flame symbol adds to its American industrial look.
A prominent dent along the upper rim and patches of exposed metal where the paint has chipped away give this piece a well-worn look. It displays well alongside old toolboxes and oil cans in a garage or shop.
Condition
There is a prominent dent along the upper rim, along with scratches, scuffs, dirt, chipped paint, and worn lettering throughout. The underside and bottom rim also show scuffing and paint loss.
Sold for display only. Do not use to store or transport gasoline or other fuels.
